Have you spent your life with an attitude of entitlement? Do you think that everything that you have you deserve? I doubt this is your mindset. Or… Is it? Have you been secretly sucked into this way of thinking that repulses high achievers?
In TMP Session 6, we discuss this very topic and answer this question, “What does it mean to honor those who have poured into us?” Here’s a story from Luke 17.
Having just left Galilee, Jesus was now on his way to Jerusalem. As He was walking along the road, suddenly, ten men who had leprosy called out to him and said, “Jesus have pity on us!” Jesus responds with, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” Essentially, he’s saying to the group, “You’re good to go.” Of those ten, only one came back to Jesus praising God in a loud voice, exclaiming, “Look what you’ve done for me!”
And Jesus says, “Hang on, there were 10 unclean men. Where did the other nine go?” For the one, he says, “Look at what’s happened to me. I can’t stay the same. I praise God for what’s happened to me.”
Having been a part of The Master’s Program you have been poured into – you’ve been on the receiving end. One of the most incredible things that happened to me in response to what TMP and Bob Shank did in pouring into me is the opportunity to replicate myself.
You see, when Jesus told us that all authority had been given to him and commanded us to go, baptize, and teach He was calling us to get out of our comfort zone. Go and bring the good news to other people. Use what has been poured into you, to encourage others to experience a new identity through baptism. Help them to discard their old jersey and to put on a new jersey that would say I now identify not as who I was when I was born, but having been reborn, I am identifying in a future that I’m excited about. And as I will be on this path of transformation for the rest of my life, I will follow someone who poured into me, and I will pour into others.
And that’s the third part, teach. Teaching others is the opportunity for kingdom growth. Could we see a new movement for Jesus happen? If it’s going to happen, it will happen through teaching others to do what you know. Paul said, “Follow me while I’m following Christ.” So, for you to replicate yourself is to say now, everything that’s been poured into me, I want to bring to others.
You’ll want a duty heart that says, “I want to give honor where honor is due. All this goodness that has been given to me; it wasn’t meant to be “cul-de-sac’ed” in me but was to be brought out and replicated.
If you have yet to hear the news, we have a new tool on TMPX.com called LifeLaunch. It has all of The Master’s Program put into a video series with which you can take it and be a Facilitator of this content. You can take it and bring and replicate yourself to others.
What would that be like for you to be a great host? Bring people together at your business, church, and home, and play the video series. We have all the materials for you to be able to deliver it. With your own story, you’ll hold a great conversation and help other people to start grasping real life.
Now, here’s the secret of this process. As you replicate yourself, you’re the one that’s going to receive the benefit. I’m sure those following you will grow, but you will get the most significant benefit. We could see a new Jesus movement through leaders like you who replicate themselves!
Go to tmpx.com/lifelaunch and get more information about being a Facilitator for LifeLaunch.
So, are you a “cul-de-sac” who is entitled to have, but, not share all you’ve got? You can take this and bring out what God has put in you with others. I am excited about what God will do and what comes next.
God bless you!
In your corner,
Jeff
