Are you confident that tomorrow, if you repeat today’s agenda over and over, you’ll be rewarded?
Hi, I’m Jeff Gerhardt from The Master’s Program. Have you ever considered the significance of your actions 10,000 years from now? In the last Insider Journal, Nadya spoke about thinking with the end in mind, challenging us to ponder the eternal impact of our choices. It’s a profound question that goes beyond simply reaching the next life. While that’s a vital part of our journey, it’s not the whole picture.
Imagine life as a two-part equation. The first part is the inevitable reality that we’ll all face our mortality one day. Knowing this, we should regularly ask ourselves, “If today were my last day, would I be content with what I’m doing right now?” If the answer is consistently “No,” it’s a sign we might not be aligning our actions with our purpose.
The second part involves our actions and the eternal consequences of those choices. In the New Testament, Paul explains that we will all stand before the Judge one day and receive rewards based on the good done while alive. This means we’re on stage under evaluation every day, culminating in one grand assessment.
This is where the concept of 10,000 years from now comes into play. The rewards we receive at that judgment moment will last for eternity. So, it’s crucial to ask, “Is what I’m doing today contributing to those eternal rewards?” Each day is a decision, and embracing the certainty of our mortality, as described in Ecclesiastes, reminds us that life is fleeting. Enjoying today and making it count should be our mission.
Can you confidently say you’re doing what God put you here for? That you’re finishing the work assigned to you? At The Master’s Program, we aim to help individuals develop a comprehensive life plan, ensuring success in their careers and leveraging that success through their life’s mission, family, marriage, assets, finances, service to the church, and outreach to the world.
So, I leave you with this challenge: Will what you’re doing today matter for eternity? I’m here to help you clarify that question and guide you on this journey. Take a moment to reflect: If today were your last, would you be content with how you’re finishing? What you do today could become a part of eternity’s legacy.
In your corner,
Jeff
