The big question that many of us face is am I ever going to find my life’s mission and will all that I am currently doing (with my life) even count? Will my life have an eternal echo?  Start at the beginning with the definition of calling for the transformed believer in Jesus – to be faithful and fruitful.  Remember that I can’t be fruitful without being faithful.  So, assuming you are faithful in your career, marriage, family, and finances, this creates a fruitfulness where I am being faithful.  This is job 1. 

As we grow and continue in faithfulness, we seek additional initiatives beyond our faithfulness to put into play because we seek the prize of eternal success.  These are the bonus opportunities we are after, and we center them around our dreams, passions, and skills.

So, remember that the only way to be fruitful is to be on God’s mission to love Him (God), love people, and teach others how to love God and love people.  

Great!  We can be fruitful in our faithfulness and now we pray, this…

“God, I am being faithful and fruitful.  I want to see the best of me used beyond the ordinary and I’ve got a dream…did You, God, give me this dream?”

Now we are in the game of becoming.  To build the full expression of the best of me for something that makes God excited!  Could it be any better?

To create this kind of “calling” or Life’s Mission, we have to be intentional and strategic.  That means we need to know ourselves (God’s masterpiece) and build plans where we see God at work (inside of us and within the world).
