What is God’s next mission for me?

Most people come into The Master’s Program asking this question: “What does God want me to do?“ We spend focused time answering that with other marketplace leaders to see to it that God would get the best of me to honor all that is great about Him. Yet, this question can haunt and often freeze movement.

Here’s a tool to start your journey towards God’s next mission – discover your most significant contribution. How do you do that? Ask three people whose inputs you value to answer for you, “What is my greatest contribution in life?“. You can also ask, “What is the most valuable thing I do from your point of view?”

Over time we find that there was an answer to this “greatest contribution” that was different in every decade of life as you refine yourself. I’ll never forget when I heard Anne Graham Lotz say, “at the beginning of my ministry, I was like a wide push broom, but over time God refined my mission to be a sword.” The very poignant example here is to reflect God’s shedding of the pieces that were not me to find the organic, God-design in me that was my genius. And this design in me is what I will pursue until my dying breath.
