Stewarding Your Citizenship

How are you celebrating your citizenship this week?

My mother was born in Lebanon but moved to Canada with her parents. I was born and raised in Canada but moved to the United States with my own family, later to become an American citizen. It is not uncommon for God to move us out from our comfort zones to take new territory.

He is famous for calling us out from one place to another throughout our journey. He especially likes to move us from the familiar into new spaces where we have never been before. The Bible explains it for us:

“He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might search for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”

Acts 17:26-27

You and I are here, where we have been planted, for such a time as this!

We have been commissioned to steward our Kingdom citizenship, to celebrate and declare our Great and Mighty God and to seek Him. We have been sent to our families, our communities, our nation and our world! If we are alive and well today on planet earth, we have been pre-appointed, predesigned and predestined for such a time as this; to seek and save the lost and declare the acceptable year of our Lord. We are watching prophecies unfold before our eyes. Even so, God is filling our mouths with His Word to proclaim His glory and goodness to this generation, “in the hope that they might search for Him and find Him.” (Acts 17:27)

I get to celebrate my citizenship twice in July. But, everyday I get to celebrate that I am the citizen of an unshakeable Kingdom.

Celebrate your citizenship and bring out the fireworks!

“Arise and Shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you!”

Isaiah 60:1

He that the Son has set free is free indeed. So…

Let freedom reign!

We’re in your corner,
