Is God’s Calling on your life greater than you? If so, are you appropriating His supernatural empowerment?
Today the Jews are celebrating Shavuot. This holiday has been recognized and commemorated by many as the day Moses received the Word of God for His people, the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. It is also the celebration of the first grain harvest of the season.
We know it as the 50th Day after Passover or the Day of Pentecost! This may be confusing as we have already observed Easter in March and 50 days later, Pentecost in May. In our Gregorian calendar here in the west we only add an extra day in February for the leap year; but in the Hebrew Calendar, they add a whole extra month!
Why is this relevant to us as we actively pursue LifeMastery in step with our LifeMission?
Jesus told HIs disciples to wait in Jerusalem after His ascension until they received the gift from the Father. (Acts 1:4)
We know what happens! In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit came into the upper room like a rushing wind force, filled up the room and then filled each one while cloven tongues of fire settled upon them! Here they were empowered and became emboldened! There were so many people gathered in Jerusalem already celebrating the holiday from all over the territory, near and far. As they heard the disciples speak in their mother tongue, a platform was supernaturally created for Peter to address the crowd and 3,000 men were added to the Church. This is the beginning of the harvest Jesus refers to – the fields are white with harvest. Therefore, send out the laborers! (Matt 9:37-38)
That is us. We are the sent ones! We are His rescue plan now.
This is why LifeMastery is so critical. It is the fitness and freedom needed to fulfill our LifeMission – our unique part of God’s rescue plan! God is wanting to create supernatural platforms for us as His sent ones!
We cannot do this without the LifeForce of the mighty, working power of the Holy Spirit. He enables us to Forgive. How much time do you spend in the presence of the Holy Spirit? Though He is often the overlooked part of the Trinity, He is the one that enables us to understand the WORD and then He empowers us to practice it.
This summer let’s be intentional about spending time with the LifeForce of the Holy Spirit for a supernatural harvest!
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth!“
