How will you launch into summer this June? With restrictions lifting and graduation celebrations wrapping up, many of us are scheduling summer activities.
I have not seen my Canadian family in two years, and I am making plans to visit them.
What will your summer hold? Will you be launching new initiatives this summer, or intentionally scheduling some well-deserved time to relax and recreate?
Rest is so important to God that He included the need for a Sabbath in the 10 Commandments. It is that necessary!
As you’re making plans, consider how you might take a sabbatical or sabbath this summer. Plan a personal retreat and practice entering that secret place we discover when we slow down enough to have our own encounter with God.
Instead of letting your spiritual disciplines slide this summer, immerse yourself in rest (Hebrews 3&4) and reap the benefits of being able to flow from a place of peace, especially if a summer storm happens to blow your way.
In your corner,
Nadya Dickson
