While Quantum Computers Race  – Is Your Calling on Pause?

While Quantum Computers Race  – Is Your Calling on Pause?

The world is accelerating at breakneck speed. Every 12 hours, information doubles. Think about the implications of that – what humanity knew yesterday morning will double by tonight. Microsoft just announced a quantum computing breakthrough that can solve in hours what traditional computers would take years to calculate. We’re approaching processing power that can design new medicines, model climate solutions, and unlock mysteries we’ve barely begun to imagine.

But here’s the question that keeps me up at night: With all this noise, are we still hearing our calling?  The world is so busy.  Are we hitting pause button on our calling as we are being awed at our digital world?

I was struck by something David Wills shared recently. David, a TMP graduate and President Emeritus at National Christian Foundation, highlighted that extreme global poverty has dropped from 51% in 1981 to just 7% today. India alone has lifted hundreds of millions from poverty by engaging with the global economy.

Biblical poverty is on track for eradication within eight years as the final languages receive translations.

Only 32 unengaged, unreached people groups remain.  The task is almost finished.

David’s conclusion hit me like a thunderbolt, “Aslan is on the move.”

This reminds me of Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

The finish line is visible, friends. The question isn’t whether the race will be completed – it’s whether we’ll play our part.

We’ve discussed in TMP how Babylon always sought three things: comfort, safety, and meaning. With technological advancement accelerating, Kingdom leaders today face a choice: become meaningless merchants simply riding the wave or become meaningful market creators who harness these capabilities for eternal purposes.

Information without wisdom is just noise. And wisdom without action is wasted. Our calling isn’t to simply observe these changes – it’s to steward them.

Think about it: if quantum computing can process in hours what once took years, what’s holding us back from taking bold steps in our calling? If global poverty can drop from 51% to 7% in forty years, what Kingdom impact could we have if we fully engaged our resources and influence?

The world is transforming before our eyes. But transformation without purpose just creates a different kind of chaos. We’re called to bring meaning, direction, and eternal perspective to these changes.

Here’s what I’m challenging you with today: Look at every platform God has entrusted to you – your business, marriage, family, assets, finances, church involvement, and relationships with those who don’t yet know Christ. Evaluate each for eternal fruit. Are you leaning in? Are you maximizing Kingdom impact? Or are you still running on yesterday’s calling while the world accelerates around you?

Take 5 minutes today to write down one area you’ll lean into.

When information doubles every 12 hours, “business as usual” becomes obsolete quickly. But our calling never becomes obsolete – it just finds new expression in changing times.

Aslan is on the move. Are you?

In your corner,
Jeff

  1. Thanks Jeff for your insight and reality check re the Turbo Charge AI Accelerator that can also can be applied to our unfinished Commissioned task.
What if and Why Not AI applied to find the most efficient path to fulfilling the Great Commiission? AI coupled with our advantage of infinite power IP source for optimal strategic planning and allocation of HIs resources to find best stewardship outcomes for accelerated task completion. We are stewards to harness artificial intelligence to tap the wealth of the wicked for righteous purposes as mandated in Ecclesiastes 2:26. Why not assemble a Great Commision AI and IP Accelerator team for the inputs to achieve the desired outcome with the advantage of the Infinite added leverage for outcomes without boundaries to SPEED His Day as mandated in II Peter 3: 12 ???

  2. Jeff, thanks for the reality check as to how fast things are moving and changing in this world. AI is unbelievable, but I am going to rely on HSI – Holy Spirit Intelligence. Without that we won’t accomplish our calling and our mission that God has for us in the short amount of time left till Jesus returns. It’s ‘pedal to the metal’ in finishing the work God has called each of us to.
