For a Master’s Program Grad, Session 6 included the money focus. We learned that God owns it all. Jesus has invested in us with the expectation of ROI upon Jesus’ return. According to the Credit Suisse Research Institute’s Global Wealth Report 2021, half the world’s wealth is owned by the wealthiest 1%. What makes you in the 1% of the planet’s wealthiest? The answer: just one million in assets. How would God’s Kingdom be accelerated if people like you and me got more generous?
Session 6 of The Master’s Program continues to be a challenge for me. Every time I’m in the room at TMP for Session 6, the stakes seem to get higher. I have been blessed in so many ways. I don’t want to be just a 10% tither. I want to be a 100x leader looking to pay it forward into eternity. I want to be extraordinarily generous!
This past weekend Nancy and I experienced a Journey of Generosity, otherwise known as a JoG. The concept is simple; couples or friends get together at someone’s house on a Friday evening and then again on Saturday morning. The host shares videos and facilitates a conversation about Biblical generosity. No “ask” for money. Yet filled with engaging conversations and video testimonials.
The testimonial videos at the JoG were off-the-charts inspirational. The content was insightful. The best part is that it created a fresh opportunity for Nancy and me to talk about increasing our Kingdom Investments instead of spending on short-lived play and comfort.
Life really is short! The bottom line for Nancy and me is that this year probably represents about 5% of the rest of our lives! What is it for you? Soon we’ll be meeting Jesus face to face. To whom much is given, much is expected. We are among the wealthiest on the globe. Isn’t it time to strategically rethink your current level of generosity?
