Put Out Fires or Start One?

As I visited the fire hall in my father’s hometown a week ago, I wasn’t expecting to capture today’s Insider Journal. Had I known, I would have at least tried to style my hair. But after standing near my deceased grandfather’s fire hat on the wall, I marveled at his courage! Lord, embolden us to be able to stand on the front lines! Does your calling require you to prepare for the front lines? Are you called to put out fires or to start one? How are you preparing?

I’m grateful that God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.  Only He can do that. In this, He gets all the glory! The amazing thing about Life Mastery is that if we say YES to the call and remain committed through the process, we become qualified for the call through preparation.

As I experienced each new session of The Master’s Program in my first year, I had a sense of the form and shape of my purpose, but I did not have the level of clarity I received later in the second and third year. This allowed me the proper time that was required for personal transformation and discovery, eventually leading me to determine the area of training I needed for what was next. He showed me the landscape to navigate and where I needed to put a stake in the ground for the Kingdom to reclaim territory in my personal realm and beyond.

My grandfather did not walk into his calling without first being prepared through training.  He knew for the most part that the mission would require saving people or property from life threatening situations. He qualified to become a protector and keeper of his community.

When we begin to gain clarity regarding LifeMission while staying committed to the process of LifeMastery, providential opportunities arise. Here is where we are ready to step up into the next level of service to the Kingdom. It can seem daunting, but these opportunities should be larger than ourselves so that they require God’s miraculous provision and strength. Again, He gets all the glory! My grandfather was called to start fires. He laid his life down to do it! I learned through TMP that I’m called to start fires and continue to blow the embers until others are ignited and activated to partner with God in His dreams for them!

Last week Rob Dayton asked us ‘if we were ready for the crisis?’ and I echo that crisis is here as we are witnessing a collision of Kingdoms for the hearts of men and women like never before. The world is experiencing a great deficit of uncommon wisdom, courage and strength but God is preparing us to blaze trails and take territory for His purpose. Where are you called to put a stake in the ground? Who will become free because you stepped into God’s assignment for you?

Nadya, I was so encouraged and inspired by what you shared today. I’m so grateful to be your CD and to be able to sit in your sessions. When your share, you share with so much passion and love that it ignites a fire within the hearts of the ladies in our cohort, including myself.

I feel that the Lord is using these opportunities to prepare and equip me so I’ll be ready to serve him and bring glory to his name.

As a mentor to me, I’m encouraged to spread those embers around the world, as I see you igniting the fire in others to do the same.
