Do you ever wonder if you’re staying in step with God’s will when the road becomes rocky?
How can we know we are seeking His highest?
I love coming to the lake early in the morning when I can still see the fresh hoof-prints on the shore. My devotion this morning reminded me that God gives us deer’s feet:
Psalms 18:33 from the Amplified Bible reads, “He makes my feet like deer’s feet [able to stand firmly and tread safely on paths of testing and trouble]; He sets me [securely] upon my high places.”
No matter how unfamiliar the terrain is, if I trust Him, I can rest assure He is keeping me and perfecting those things that concern me. I just need to continue to do what He has already shown me.
If we are working towards clarifying our assignment, God will always be inviting us higher, to gain His perspective. He will continually call us deeper, to know Him and His ways. These are unfamiliar paths.
It is so reassuring to know that as we faithfully walk in the known will of God, (LifeMastery) we will be prepared to function in the revealed will of God (LifeMission) and complete the work that He gave us to do!
