The Last Enemy

The Last Enemy

In The Master’s Program, we are tenacious about helping people find their Kingdom Calling. We call it a LifeMission. God specifically designed you for a purpose. The DNA of that purpose is in your design: your talents, passions, and desired outcomes.

But pay attention to the fact that a LifeMission is aimed at an enemy of the Kingdom.  What’s yours?

In 1 Corinthians 15:23, the Apostle Paul alludes to our enemies. He’s talking about Jesus ruling and abolishing His enemies. Paul says the last enemy will be death itself—then the end will come.

If death is the last enemy, what names would Jesus give to the rest of His enemies?

This question is vital because your LifeMission is attached to one. Jesus’ LifeMission, according to the Apostle John, is “to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8b).” As a follower of Jesus, you are participating in this effort. Which enemy is within your responsibility?

My enemy is lust.  From an early age, lust captivated me. It destroyed my first marriage and nearly me. But, I was called to overcome. And with Jesus’ authority, I overcame lust in my own life. My LifeMission targets the enemy of lust. As I coach men to their own LifeMission, lust is typically destroyed in the process, and men are freed.

How about you?  What enemy of Jesus have you overcome personally? Chances are, this is the enemy that your LifeMission will target.

This world is not our home, we are just passing through. We get one chance to participate in the destruction of Jesus’ enemies before eternity is upon us. Knowing your enemy is mission-critical to keeping your mindset in a battle versus complacent mode.

Don’t know your enemy? Join The Master’s Program to find out. Or maybe you are in the process of overcoming an enemy. You have been given the power to overcome!

You have what it takes! Defeat the enemy in your own life and develop a LifeMission to free others.

For this, we are squarely in your corner!

  1. Rob! Your professional background intrigues me, since I earned my MPA at USC in 1979, and was on the CM track. In 1990, I started Citygate Associates, LLC, headquartered in Folsom CA. A We are the “Virtual City Hall,” and I was the first consultant. Today Citygate is a national firm, with an average of 40 open management consulting projects across cities, counties, and special districts.

This is my retirement transition year. This past April I turned over my title as President to my protégés of 19 years, and this January our Buy Sell Agreement is consummated. In February I celebrate my 40th birthday for the 30th time. As a graduate of TMP in my mid 40’s it really helped me focus on the right things.
