Regarding Your Transitioning

This year’s Easter had some political controversy as the White House celebrated Transgender Visibility Day on the holiest day of the year. Transgender is someone who believes they are a different sex or born in the wrong body. Their belief is strong enough to lead many to transition. Transitioning is the process of surgically reconstructing the body to emulate the desired sex.

Wow! That’s some kind of conviction! It makes me think of the Apostle Paul. He was convinced that followers of Jesus were working against God. His conviction was strong enough to cause him to kill Christians. Jesus’ response was, “That’s my kind of guy. I want him to lead the church movement to the Gentiles!”

What if our belief in Jesus produced this kind of action-oriented follow-through? It turns out that saying “yes” to Jesus is easy. Following is difficult. It requires a different kind of transitioning. This process is what The Master’s Program is all about.

The first transition is from a slave to sin into a slave of righteousness. We need to believe that we are no longer human. We are a new creation in Christ, with the Trinity dwelling in us.We are supernatural. We have authority over sin. This ongoing transition requires us to renew our minds to Jesus’ teachings. People need to see Jesus in us. We become like Him. We demonstrate His love through our actions.

The second transition is taking responsibility for what God has given only you. You have a Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit to manage. You may have a spouse and kids. You are a worker and a steward in this world, managing what the King has placed in your responsibility. No one else will be held accountable for these things. With this conviction, you must invest in each responsibility and practice excellence there.

The third transition is into Kingdom Calling. Jesus is expecting a return on His investment. You have unique abilities. You are wired for calling. Jesus has work specific to your gift set. This work was assigned to you in advance of your existence. Have you identified and transitioned to doing this work?

The final transition is into eternity. I think this is the most difficult for Jesus followers. We must have a deep conviction of eternity and our role in it. This requires accepting death as a doorway into glory. It requires shaping our lifestyle here on earth to produce the desired lifestyle in heaven. We need to live each day in light of eternity.

The Apostle John writes in 1 John about these transitions and their requirements for success. He says,

“Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”

1 John 3:2-3

Following John’s advice requires a conviction of belief that leads to action. Focus on the hope of becoming like Jesus. It is this hope that transforms you.

In The Master’s Program, you will learn these transition points. They are evidence of the difficult path of following Jesus. It’s not easy. It takes work. It requires commitment. If you haven’t taken The Master’s Program yet, I encourage you to inquire today. We are fanatics about you following Jesus! We want to see you live what you say you believe.

In your corner,
Rob
