Who is the Author and Finisher of your story?
Does your story Matter?
In TMP We begin connecting the dots of our story through life mapping as we identify our unique Distinguishing Characteristics through Sessions 5 and 10. When we look at our experiences over a lifetime, we begin to see HIS-story in our story. We can see the path forward more clearly.
This was experienced last weekend at our annual TMPW retreat. Our theme, “Remembering Your Future: Why Your Story Matters” included creating a LifeMap. In community we were able to recollect what God has done in our past, to help us thrive in the present, and reimagine our future!
The same is true with life. Your focus is your direction. So what are you focused on? That’s where you’re going. Your focus is how you are renewing your mind. Your focus becomes your attitude. Your focus determines what you say and do. Focus is everything! So let me ask again: what are you focused on?
We are commanded to recollect our stories and retell them to the next generation. When we capture the areas where God has encountered us in powerful ways throughout our lifetime, like Jacob’s staff, we are passing on the “rod of testimony” to our children! That is part of our legacy!
Ancient Wisdom from Deuteronomy 4:9
“Only be careful and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.”
